H.E.R. N.V.'s STORY
Heavy Equipment Rental N.V. (H.E.R. N.V.) was established in 1994 by the late Mr. Tjandronath G. Gajadin as a service provider for the mining industry. After a successful career as a contractor in the aluminum mining industry, H.E.R. N.V. broadened their mining expertise to aggregate. Only this time not as a contractor, but as a privately owned mining operation.
Our company is located in Suriname, South America and has a very strategically located mine at 50 kilometers from the city center and just 5 kilometers from the Suriname River. Mining operations started in 2008 with a modest production of 10.000 metric tons per month and today we can proudly say that we not only managed to increase our production capacity to 40,000 metric tons of aggregate per month in 2022, but we are already preparing for our next expansion to 100,000 metric tons in 2023.

Our machines are operated by our employees, serviced by our sister company, SIM, and it is our highest priority to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for them. We were granted multiple safety awards, perhaps the most notable, that of Boskalis International BV, for 2,000,000 manhours in 1322 days without lost-time injuries.

We are actively engaged in the local community of Powaka, which is where one of our main operations is situated. We have a close relationship with the head of village and among other things we support and contribute to education and the infrastructure in the village. Apart from general safety, the environmental impact of our equipment is of the utmost importance to us.

In the past year we have been and still are conducting a strategic equipment renewal scheme. Renewal of our equipment was necessary to meet the industry leading standards for emission and safety regulations. in our company. Our ISO 9001 certification will also optimize our commitment to optimize to deliver the highest quality products and services.
